Congratulations!

Next time, it would be better and fairer if the end-of-year prize draws were for those who have contributed the most during the year. It's a bit sad that the ones who end up winning prizes are those who registered weeks ago. Although fair based on the rules, the winner doesn't even have one vote cast or received...

Throughout the year, there are users who contribute a lot to the TibiaQA community, and at the end of the year, they have the same opportunities as people who only register to participate in the raffle and never return.

TREX RALCO 16 points
Honey Rush 48 points
Vinzzz 34 points , not even email confirmed.

New accounts with very low participation..

Thanks for your comments. Our goal is to offer a variety of contests on TibiaQA. There are a few contests strictly aimed at high-quality questions and answers, and just this one contest per year (or even in two years) that is based purely on luck. We want to use this opportunity to show more players what TibiaQA is and potentially attract more users, even though we are aware that most of them will not return.

We are always open to hearing about new contest ideas. If you have any in mind that would reward long-term contributions, let us know. Please also give some thought to how such potential contests could be cheated on, how to prevent it, and how certain contests could have a negative long-term consequences if introduced.

Contests for best question, answer, revival, etc. should be for users who have been registered for at least three months. This encourages more people to be active for a certain amount of time in order to be eligible for future contests. It also prevents new accounts and duplicate accounts from being created solely for the purpose of meeting the minimum requirements of a contest and trying to win the prize and then never returning.

As an additional reward for loyal users throughout the year, they should be included exclusively in prize draws. This way, you are rewarding long-term activity and keeping the community that contributes the most active, while preventing new accounts from entering prize draws purely for profit and not to help the community.

The task of preventing new and secondary accounts is based on the premise of making the requirements for participating in each contest more expensive.

Rewarded goals such as 5,000 points have two problems:

1- New users see this goal as too far away, since earning points on TibiaQA these days is a very slow task due to the lack of user activity.
2- Users (myself included) also see little or no reward for continuing to contribute after reaching 5,000 points. Obviously, it should be up to each user to continue contributing to improve the community, but rewards make everything easier.

Ideas for new contests:

Most active user per month.
Best question of the month.
Best answer of the month.

And I can continue but I think you got my point.

Same happens with Honey Rush, all questions are answered by the same 2 people , apol942 and tha.menera, both users very low activity and one of them brand new account..

This is what I mean to encourage chriteria to participate, if your pre requisites are null then you will have a lot of multiple accounters and people trying to cheat.

@Zupakode - concerning contests, I got your point the first time. I agree that long-term commitment contests would be great. What I'm saying is that it's not that simple. The registration date of the account doesn't solve anything. People can just create an account, be inactive, and wait until the contest arrives - it only delays them by one contest, and then it's all the same. "The most active ~" kind of contests require specific rules to discourage spammy behaviour. TibiaQA cares about the quality of the content more than the quantity. "The best answer/question ~" requires specific rules too, to clearly communicate what qualifies as best. As I mentioned, I invite you to give it some thought, and I'm happy to hear your ideas. Don't concentrate on simply generating a list of contests we can run - we have already done that many times ourselves. Concentrate on how your contest ideas could be cheated on, how it will make other participants unhappy, and what could be done to prevent that. You're welcome to open a new meta topic to get the discussion rolling and to invite more eyes. One thing that is a 100% guarantee is that someone will always complain, no matter what you think of. Someone will always call it unfair, someone will always call it rigged - there’s no way to please everyone.

Winning contest entries have been verified before announcing contest results for any suspicious activity and compliance with the fansite and contest rules.

About half of all the contest entries were from users who had just registered on TibiaQA last month. Hence, it's not a surprise that half of them won something.

Thank you very much for the opportunity, TibiaQA. I must say I truly enjoyed the dynamic of "hunting" for questions a process that ultimately motivated me to formulate my own.

However, now it’s my opinion after reading the community feedback, I feel deeply disappointed. It is regrettable to be the target of false accusations by third parties who, without any evidence, attempt to discredit my participation. Regarding this, I would like to state the following:

1. Impact on the community: The behaviors suggested by this individual not only foster a monopoly within the contest but also discourage new users from participating, limiting opportunities for others to discover and explore the fansite.

2. Effort and learning: In my case, my process was entirely genuine. Unable to find simple questions to answer, I dedicated myself to researching, analyzing previous entries, consulting wikis, and immersing myself in the Tibia's lore. I had the initiative and the courage to learn on my own how to enter the classifieds something I was completely unfamiliar with but achieved through my own hard work.

3. Questioning integrity: This user's behavior calls into question not only their ethics as a participant but also their personal integrity. It is highly suspicious that, of the two people who joined their attacks, one was using an account created less than 24 hours. This suggests a lack of transparency and makes me wonder: Was the account created solely to spout blasphemy? Have they complained in previous contests? Or did they just decide to attack this one? And I'm only speaking for myself.

Example: Do you on other fansites/discord fansites say: "I've been here for so many years, give me a prize just because" "I’m here “supporting” “I visit your Wiki almost every day, me too!” I BET you don't.

You have the chance to win an Omniscient Owl by accumulating points, and in 7 years here you haven't even gotten half of them of those points? Are you really okay? Analyze yourself.

From now that I've learned how all this works I’ll do my best to visit your page more often and not let people talk just for the sake of talking.

I want to emphasize the good work and responses from part of the admins; this is just a glimpse into how toxic a "community" can be. Thank you again TibiaQA and to the others… Good luck, “next time”.

With nothing further to add, I wish you a pleasant day.

I have lot time saying it, the Owl cant be the last goal. I check the moderation part mostly daily, but I don't make QA because I don't want ''steal'' the opportunity to other users to gain points, because for me that part is done and have no sense.

By the way, recently I read a fansite give for a second time their fansite item to the same user for long tern contribution, the first one at 2 years and second one at 4 years contributions, Im going to search what fansite was because I dont remember at the moment, but it can be applied yo TibiaQA? To the points in a new highger goal, like 10k?

Backup winner is the closest I've gotten to win any Tibia contest so far so that's an improvement

@Lenorah - could you send your data and choice as well, just in case? I still haven't heard from Vinzzz, and the account hasn't been confirmed yet.
