TibiaQA.com is proudly announcing the TibiaQA All-Rounder contest! The goal of the contest is to raise the overall quality of the posts on TibiaQA and promote interesting and well-researched questions and answers.

How to Participate?

  1. Register on TibiaQA and confirm your account if you haven't yet.
  2. Post on TibiaQA - a complete contest entry is one interesting question and one answer of excellent quality. 
    Posts on Meta TibiaQA do not participate in the contest.
  3. Post a link to your contest entry (one question + one answer) as an answer to this post.

Judging Criteria - Question

In addition to the criteria in How to ask a good question? we will also consider and favor questions that demonstrate the following qualities

  • Uniqueness – the question covers something that has not already been asked on the site
  • Not easily searchable – the answer cannot be easily found on tibia.com or other Tibia fansites
  • Usefulness to other players – the question is likely to be interesting and helpful to other players in the future
  • Proper context and background – the question includes the relevant details needed to understand the situation
  • Evidence of prior research – where applicable, the author shows they have already attempted to find the answer
  • Clear language and correct grammar – the question is written in a way that maximizes clarity and readability for other users

Judging Criteria - Answer

In addition to the criteria in How to provide good answers? we will also consider and favor answers that demonstrate the following qualities

  • Answer questions that were asked before 1. March 2026
  • Answer questions that need special attention, including missing and incorrect answers, on the following questions
    - Unanswered Questions
    - Hot Questions
    - Questions without any upvoted answer and without the best answer selected
    - Questions with most views and most votes
  • Accuracy and completeness – the answer is factually correct and fully addresses the question with enough details
  • Clarity and structure – the explanation is easy to follow, well-written, and properly formatted where appropriate
  • Supporting information and sources – the answer includes examples, explanations, screenshots, testing results, or sources and references where required

Contestants can also participate by making substantial edits to one of their existing answers.

Contest Rules:

  • The contest runs from 24. March 2026 00:01 CET, until 19. April 2026 23:59 CEST
  • Users participate by asking one question, answering one question, and submitting their contest entry (question + answer) in this post
  • Contestants can change their choice of question and answer as long as the contest runs by editing their post with the contest entry
  • All posted content must follow TibiaQA guidelines - posts that fail to do so will be removed, and will not be allowed to participate in the contest
  • Creating multiple accounts to participate in the contest will result in the disqualification of all entries from that user
  • Duplicate questions and answers that are identical or very similar to already existing ones will be removed at once and will not participate in the contest
  • TibiaQA.com staff cannot participate in the contest

Rewards

  1. Omniscient Owl +  Pick one: Yellow Rose OR Medal_of_Honour Medal of Honour
  2. Omniscient Owl + Remaining prize: Yellow Rose OR Medal_of_Honour Medal of Honour
  3. Hero's medal + Rune Emblem of choice

Picking top entries:

  • The top 7 contest entries will be selected by the TibiaQA.com team (based on the criteria above) and forwarded to the CMs and fansite admins
  • The CMs and fansite admins will vote for their favorite entries
  • The winning answers are announced (estimate - 30. April) on Meta TibiaQA

@Loqhakk – Any contest-period question and answer is eligible, but you'll have a competitive edge if you focus on answering a question posted before March 1, 2026. The more criteria you meet, the better your chances :)
