The Vocation Vanguard contest

TibiaQA.com is proudly announcing The Vocation Vanguard contest. The goal of this contest is to encourage players to explore the vocation adjustments released on June 16 and post fresh content about those changes on TibiaQA.

How to participate?

• Explore and get familiar with the content added and changed with the vocation adjustments patch published on June 16
• Ask or answer questions related to those changes
  • Questions about new or changed mechanics introduced with the patch
  • Answers about new or changed mechanics introduced with the patch
  • Answers to older questions where answers became invalid due to the changes introduced with the patch
• Post a link to your questions and/or answers on this topic (max 3 posts - any combination of questions and answers)

Contest rules

• Users participate by asking and/or answering questions on TibiaQA
• Questions and answers must concern things added or modified with the Vocation Adjustments patch, released on June 16
• Each user can submit up to 3 of their posts to the contest, either questions or answers, or any combination of those
• To submit your contest entry, answer this thread with links to your posts (deadline 19 July 2026, 23:59 CEST)
• All submitted posts participate as one contest entry and are judged together
• Contestants can change their choice of posts as long as the contest is running by editing their post with the contest entry
• Creating multiple accounts to participate in the contest will result in the disqualification of all entries from the user
• All posted content must follow TibiaQA guidelines - posts that fail to do so will either be closed or removed, and will not participate in the contest
• The TibiaQA.com team cannot participate in the contest

Judging criteria

• Uniqueness – the post covers something that has not already been posted on the site
• Correction and integrity – the post helps fix stale questions and answers that became obsolete due to the recent changes
• Not easily searchable – the question or answer cannot be easily found on tibia.com or other Tibia fansites
• Clear language and correct grammar – the post is written in a way that maximizes clarity and readability for other users
• Context and accuracy – the question includes the relevant details; the answer is factually correct
• Supporting information and sources – the post includes examples, explanations, screenshots, testing results, or sources and references where required

Rewards

1. Golden Trophy of Excellence +  Pick one:  Blue Sphere OR  Omniscient Owl
2. Silver Trophy of Excellence + Remaining prize:  Blue Sphere OR  Omniscient Owl
3. Bronze Trophy of Excellence + Rune Emblem of choice

Picking top entries:

• The top 6 contest entries will be selected by the TibiaQA.com team (based on the criteria above) and forwarded to the CMs and fansite admins
• The CMs and fansite admins will vote for their favorite entries
• The winning answers are announced (estimate - 29 July) on Meta TibiaQA

How do you evaluate/compare an question vs an answer?
There is so much way to improve/make fancy and elaborate an answer than a single question.
At least the top 5 you send to Cipsoft.

By eg.  Why the sky is blue?

Its simply, but the answer can be very detailed/fancy.

@Trululu Gumdrops - the same judging criteria mentioned above apply to both questions and answers. Sure, users can make 1-sentenced question that brings absolutely nothing innovative, doesn't invite any research, and has been answered on other sites multiple times. The same applies to sloppy answers that are a copy/paste from wikis or other sources.

You can post low-quality questions and low-quality answers, and you can post high-quality questions and high-quality answers. TibiaQA always preferred quality over quantity, and that's what we are looking for in this contest too. The best questions are unique, show initial research, and invite the community to dig deeper into the topic, which ultimately leads to a thread with valuable, unique research and findings. And without questions, there are no answers ;)

So, using your words, you can make questions "detailed/fancy" too, and it's as challenging as providing good answers. If you dig a little bit, you will find users on this site who ask excellent questions.
