Update on the Question Revival V contest - winners

Hello everyone,

two weeks ago we announced the winners of the Question Revival V contest. Following the announcement we have also initialized a verification process to ensure that all contest entries and contestants followed the site and contest rules. During the verification, we discovered several unusual things connected with the two entries that were announced as winners. This led us to take a closer look at the contest entries and an audit of the user accounts in our database and site logs. Unfortunately, an audit revealed that the TibiaQA rules have been violated.

Our findings have been forwarded to the fansite coordinator at CipSoft, who guided us on the next steps. We have also discussed the case internally with the TibiaQA staff. The final decision is that the two said entries are disqualified and that the remaining contestants are moved up. Here's an updated winner list.

Sad story. So it seems that the results of Winter Lottery 2023 were also affected.

It's strange that some people don't care about their reputation and cheat in contests. I suspect I know what the cheating was about. It's hard not to guess. Despite several successful entries in previous contests, the cheater today lost my respect irretrievably. I am very glad that TibiaQA team managed to detect this. Good job. My sincere congratulations to the real winners.
