Many questions about the new possibility of selling players. Since it hasn't gone live yet there are no real answers. Ive even seen Skerio answer a question incorrectly and be quoted here on this site. And so many questions are being asked.

My suggestion is that until there are actually proven and able to be verified answers that we don't allow speculation (about the future) questions and answers like those being asked at the moment. CiP will lock down and tell us exactly what will happen when it goes live

Apologies if this is ranty, just that this went to my go to site to something like this so fast

I see no problem with it to be honest. For example, my friends don't have time to skim through threads. With our questions being asked here, it allows everything to be organized or tracked for other players. For example, I've actually copy and pasted some TibiaQA questions about the Character Auction to other players. Or had some questions I had about the situation answered already, which is great. Of course, everything in Tibia is subject to change, however, that's why there's the edit option or where you can also add your own answer or comment. However, I can see your point with it being a little much but there are so many questions everyone has about character auctions! It's crazy, and I'm shocked about it and I definitely have sooo much questions about it.

That's a fair point. People want to discuss the situation. Maybe a stickied Megathread where information about what is happening as information is released is the answer, rather than a lot of questions that don't have a solid real answer could be useful then

that would be super cool, but it's just like questions where things are happening in a test server. it's not solid yet, but it's helpful to have on the site to get an idea of what to expect before it actually happens. better to be prepared than not. i know i am not one to like big surprises. the tag character auction doesn't have tooo many questions on it anyway. but i do see where you come from for sure.

I feel like this is not a good idea for a few reasons. When something new is announced, it's natural for players that they want to learn about it as soon as possible. This gives them the ability to prepare for the upcoming change. It's true that the answer can still change or require editing, but that's pretty much the case with every question on TibiaQA. Stuff changes, there are new updates and patches, and some of the answers may no longer be valid. For now, I'd stick with what we have and I wouldn't restrict players from asking questions about upcoming (announced) changes and features.

Please note, that we only talk about changes that have been officially announced by CipSoft. Questions about rumored features or ideas for new features and additions are not allowed as per this guide: https://meta.tibiaqa.com/1135/questions-completely-opinion-therefore-suitable-tibiaqa
