We currently have no policies regulating the use of AI, which means that the use of AI to post questions or answers on TibiaQA is, generally speaking, not forbidden. At the same time, the author of the post remains accountable for any content posted on TibiaQA.
While not forbidden, we do have some recommendations, though. Relying entirely on the use of language models to generate questions and answers is not the best idea. Such models base their responses on what's available online. This means that no truly innovative content can be generated because the model relies on what it can find online. It can also easily generate incorrect answers, for instance, if it mistakes OTS with the official game. The best questions and answers on TibiaQA require human input.
On the other hand, language models can be a great help in formatting the post and making it clear, concise, and understandable to readers (especially if you are not a native English speaker).
Like with all other answers, if you spot an incorrect answer, you are encouraged to downvote the post and follow the TibiaQA guidelines for incorrect answers.
Extreme cases of AI use would be investigated and discussed on a per-case basis. For example, if someone decided to massively post AI-generated content of low quality and value, we would treat it as a case of spamming and investigate accordingly.
Hope this clarifies!
